Accurate
For SNP discovery, Polymorphic uses the gold standard in DNA analysis, Sanger dideoxy DNA sequencing. We use high throughput capillary sequencing instrumentation. To ensure accuracy and sensitivity, only data from the high resolution, high quality region of the DNA sequencing run are used. Our focus on this high quality region ensures that all polymorphisms are reliably detected, including heterozygotes.

Simple and Competitive Price Structure
Our price is competitive at just $.01 per base per sample, all inclusive. For example, bidirectional sequencing of a 4 Kb region on 48 samples would cost a total of 4000 x 48 x 0.01 x 2 = $3,840 This pricing structure makes SNP discovery project estimates straight forward, avoiding the possible uncertainty of estimating the exact number of PCR amplicons, sequencing reactions, etc.

Flexible Platform
Polymorphic's technology platform is rapidly scaleable, easily accommodating any size project from small to very large. For SNP discovery, we accept projects from 0.2 Kb to 1,000 Kb. There is a 24 sample minimum. Bidirectional analysis required.
